Spencer Canoes in Martindale on the San Marcos River offers canoe rentals and a shuttle service on several sections of the San Marcos River.

Michael Seery has used their canoe shuttle serivce and has this to report. "I'd highly recommend the Spencer Company shuttle. Thirty Dollars ( plus Tax ) will allow you use their canoe, PDF's and paddles, leave one car at the put-in point and one at the end in Staples. They'll bring you back to the Shady Grove Campground and off you go downriver. All they ask is that you return the paddles and the PFD's when you're done. You can contact them at: (512)-357-6113.
