Fly Tying Sessions

Clint, our fly tying officer, periodically arranges a time and location for club members and guests to get together for a few hours of fly tying. These meetings are a good place to tie flies, talk about tying and materials, talk about fishing, and enjoy the company of fellow fishermen. Tiers of all skill levels are welcome. Participants can bring their vise and materials and tie flies or just bring their curiosity to watch and learn.

The fly tying sessions start at 6:00 PM in room 206 at the Georgetown Public Library (go upstairs, turn right, turn right again and go through the stacks to the conference room on the back wall). There are sessions scheduled for Wednesday January 14 and Wednesday February 11. Grab a vice and enjoy the fun.

Fly Tying Classes

We would like to provide fly tying classes for anyone who might be interested. We can offer beginner or intermediate classes if we get enough interest. Or, if you have some specific tying technique you might want some instruction on we can probably provide some help. Send me an email or give me a call at 512-635-5589 and let me know your interest, beginner or intermediate class, and what night(s) might work best for you. If you are just getting started, we have vises and everything you will need for the class.
